Membership Fees and Deposits

BTSC membership is structured in such a way as to appeal to the needs of a broad range of riders. Inexperienced riders can opt for a Beginners Course, which consists of eight weekly lessons, covering horse handling and an introduction to riding. A special Trial Term Membership is available, for those who wish to assess our facilities prior to committing to membership. Those who wish to ride on a regular basis select our Annual Term Membership. Riders who wish to lease or ride a privately owned horse or who want to stable their own horse at BTSC willrequirean Ordinary Membership (Category A or B).

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary Membership entitles a member to the following:

• To participate in riding lessons in the Club’s riding school
• To take lessons with a private instructor
• To ride and lease a privately owned horse
• A morning or afternoon lease of a riding school horse
• To participate in inter-club and in-house competitions; club house privileges
• To introduce guests
• Voting rights (one vote per membership)

Category A entitles a member to full riding privileges, (excluding horse ownership)

Current Fees: $6,000.00 (plus GST)

Category B entitles a member to full riding privileges including horse ownership.

Current Fees: $8,500.00 (plus GST)

Annual Term Membership

Annual Term Membership entitles a member to the following:

• To participate in riding lessons in the Club’s riding school
• A morning or afternoon lease of a riding school horse
• To participate in inter-club and in-house competitions; club house privileges
• To introduce guests
• Voting rights (one tenth vote)

Current Fees: $1,650.00 (plus GST)

Special Packages

Trial Term Membership is a flexible package, which allows participants to take unlimited group lessons on ourriding school horses for up to two months.Payment to be made in advance and non-refundable.

• Packageof four group lessons:                                                  $460.00 (plus GST)
• Package of eight group lessons:                                               $880.00 (plus GST)
• Beginners Course of eight group lessons:                                   $520.00 (plus GST)
• Tiny Tots (under 5’s) – lead rein walk on heath track                  $35.00 (plus GST)

Membership Monthly Subscription

Membership monthly subscriptions are subject to review from time to time by the Committee.

Family Membership: $95.00 (plus GST)                Single Membership: $80.00 (plus GST)

Deposits

Refundable deposits are required as follows::

2 x monthly subscription                                         Family: $190.00                          Single: $160.00

Riding lessons                                                                     $600.00

Food & Beverage                                                                 $150.00

Total Refundable Deposits:                                    Family:   $940.00                          Single: $910.00

Livery Deposit: (due on stable application) $3,300.00

Transfer of Membership

Transfers are subject to the terms and conditions as set out in the Constitution of the Club.

Transfer Fees Payable to Club:                      Category A: $2,500.00

Category B: $3,500.00

Voting Rights

An Ordinary Member counts as one member, and a Term Member as one-tenth of an Ordinary Member.

Every candidate needs to be proposed by one eligible Ordinary Member and seconded by another and approved by the Committee, save for Honorary Members.

The BTSC rules, and regulations, and any other conditions imposed by the management committee shall be binding on all members/riders.
