BTSC employs full-time and part-time instructors. In addition to teaching riders who take lessons on our riding school horses and ponies, they train many of our privately owned horses and coach their riders.

Demand for lessons peaks in the afternoons and weekends. To meet this demand, BTSC employs a number of part-time instructors, all of whom are carefully selected on the basis of their skills and experience.

Ordinary Members who own or lease private horses, may also take advantage of the club’s unparalleled selection of top level freelance instructors. According to your requirements, they will school your horse and improve your techniques up to the highest levels in your chosen discipline. Many of our freelance instructors have their own horses at BTSC and compete both nationally and internationally.

Full-time Instructors:

Equestrian Manager - Anthony Lowry BHSII SM

Anthony is the head instructor at Bukit Timah Saddle Club and has a broad depth of knowledge and experience in dressage, show jumping, eventing, hunting and stable management.

Anthony, who comes from Ireland originally, is happy to coach both novice and experienced riders on the flat and over jumps.

Senior Riding Instructor – Sandra Lim

Sandra has held the position of Senior Riding Instructor at BTSC since 2003 and her dedication and commitment have been exemplary.  With over 13 years of riding experience, Sandra has focused her passion on show-jumping and has represented Singapore on several

occasions in regional competitions.  The dedication she shows her students has resulted in the creation of a competitive squad of jumpers always aiming higher!

Rebecca Bugg - BHSII

Rebecca has been Senior Instructor at BTSC since January 2010.

She has worked all over the world including Germany, Ireland and Dubai, gaining experience in both Dressage and Showjumping.

She is confident in teaching clients of all levels in both disciplines and particulary enjoys training young horses.

Visiting Clinicians:

A number of clinicians visit BTSC throughout the year, offering top-level coaching in their chosen discipline, be it dressage or show jumping. These sessions are often arranged by the Equestrian Federation of Singapore.
