1. I am not a member and i would like to ride at BTSC. Which package is suitable for me?
We are open to anyone who wants to learn horse riding. For non-members, we offer trial term memberships and trial rides which are suitable for qualified riders. The beginner’s course is suitable for inexperienced riders. All riders aged 7 years old and above are welcome to join our Riding School.

1. Trial term membership 1 month
  A. Fee: $492.20 (incl. GST)
  B. 4 group lessons on a weekly basis. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes
  C. Upgrading to private class is not allowed
  D. An assessment ride will be done during the first class
  E. Maximum weight for a rider is 90kg
2. Trial term membership 2 months
  A. Fee: $941.60 (incl. GST)
  B. 8 group lessons on a weekly basis. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes

3. Trial ride

4. Beginner's course

B. 8 group lessons on a weekly basis. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. (Adult class: Friday, 7am. Mixed class: Sunday, 7am. Children's class: Sunday, 6pm)

  C. Upgrading to private class is not allowed
  D. No assessment ride will be done on the first class
  E. Maximum weight for a rider is 90kg

If you are interested in signing up, kindly complete the application form and send it with your recent photograph, together with a crossed cheque, made payable to Bukit Timah Saddle Club.

Please take note that your slot is only confirmed when we have received both your application form and payment. Applications are processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Cancellations are subject to full charges. Confirmation will be sent via e-mail so please do check your e-mail regularly.

2. How do I apply for a membership?
Simply send your completed membership application form together with the full payment.
Once your membership has been approved, the riding school will contact you to arrange your riding schedule. Your payment will be cleared once your riding schedule has been fixed. Otherwise it will be on hold until your riding schedule is confirmed. You can request for a return of your payment and application should you change your mind.

Ordinary members will have one month probation. This is not applicable for Annual Term membership. During the probation period, Ordinary Members may still ride at the Riding School.

3. What do my monthly billings cover?
On the 15th of every month, you will be billed for the following:

Monthly Subscription Fee + Riding Lesson charges (if any) + Livery (if any) + Competition charges (if any) + Clinic charges (if any) + F&B charges (if any) + any and all other charges signed to your Membership Number + GST.
Your payment will be reflected in the next billing if you submit your payment before 30th of the month. Only cash or cheque payments will be accepted.

*Voting rights for an ordinary member counts as one vote and a term member as one-tenth vote.

5. How do I apply for a stable?
You have to be an ordinary Category B member in order to apply for a stable.

Once your membership application has been approved and your probation period is over, you can submit your application for a stable. The deposit for a stable is $3,300 (GST not applicable) and monthly livery charges are $1,100 + GST. Monthly livery includes a stable, bedding, 3 basic feeds, water and a groom.
If you have been allocated a stable but your horse has not yet arrived, a half livery charge at $550 + GST per month is applicable.

Allocation of both stables and grooms are under the jurisdiction of the Club's Management.

6. Are there any other additional charges for livery?
Should you wish to give your horse additional feed/vitamins/special bedding, you can arrange these with the supplier. Shoeing, vaccination, medical attention will be charged in addition to your monthly fees, in your monthly account statement.

Exercising your horse regularly is compulsory as every horse’s wellbeing is our main concern. If you are overseas, you can arrange your horse to be ridden by other member who is qualified/experienced upon your consent, or request for the Riding School to exercise your horse.

7. When are the riding hours?
Riding hours are in between Tuesday to Sunday from 7am to 10am, and 4pm to 6:30pm. Monday is Rest Day. Riding School will be closed during Public Holiday.

During gazetted Public Holidays, a skeleton crew of syces will be at hand to feed and water all the horses.
Private horse owners who wish to ride during public holidays must make their own arrangements.

8. How do I import my horse to Singapore?
First of all you have to ensure your membership has been approved and a stable is available for you at BTSC. Then, make arrangements with your shipper. Your horse must be quarantined for two weeks upon arrival to Singapore before being released to BTSC. Horse owners must ensure every vaccination, injections and any other medical requirements from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) are fulfilled accordingly.

9. How do I export my horse from Singapore?
Your horse must be isolated for two weeks before export to countries like Australia and Malaysia. For export to EU, pre-export isolation will be 30 days. Horse owners must ensure every vaccination, injections and any other medical requirements from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) are fulfilled accordingly.

10. How do I sell my membership?
You have to send us a letter of intent that you are selling your membership. Send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the date effective, your name, membership number and contact details.

Your membership will be put in the “Membership for Sale” listings and you will be recommended to potential buyers.

All negotiations/communications must be liaised directly between the buyer and seller as it is the member’s responsibility to facilitate the transfer. Once you have finalised your transfer, you must inform the Club. Both seller and buyer have to sign duplicate copies of the official “Letter of Transfer”.

The seller has to pay a transfer fee to the Club according to the membership category:

• A Ordinary Category A membership holder has to pay $2,500 + 7% GST = $2,675

• A Ordinary Category B membership holder has to pay $3,500 + 7% GST = $3,745

The selling member has to ensure that his/her membership is in active condition. Monthly subscriptions must be paid with no default payments. During the probation period of the new member, the selling member has to continue paying his/her subscription until the probation period is over.

The buyer needs to pay the membership deposit according to the subscription.

• If you buy a Family Membership, you have to pay a deposit of $940.
• A single membership deposit is $910.
