Leasing a Pony

Leasing a Pony or Horse from the Bukit Timah Saddle Club Riding School gives riders many opportunities and advantages. Riders will learn what it is like to have the responsibility that comes with the ownership of a horse as well as having the privilege of riding unaccompanied from an instructor. Riders also get to form a special bond and relationship as they spend extra time with the horse they are leasing doing activities such as tacking up, grooming, washing off and hand walking.

Conditions of Leasing:

1. The lease is subject to a recommendation by the Equestrian Manager with regards to the horse, horse availability and suitability of the rider.

2. The Lessee must take a minimum of 2 structured lessons a week on the leased horse with the Club’s approved full-time Riding School instructors.

3. The Lessee must abide by all the rules and regulations governing all riding activities within the Club’s premises.

4. The Applicant/Lessee must have passed an assessment qualification with a senior Instructor to qualify for the lease.

5. The leased horse can only be ridden once (for 45mins) between 7am – 10 am or
3.30pm – 7pm  by the lessee.

6. The Lessee may compete on the leased horse at competitions in classes appropriate to the training and development of the horse’s ability. If the class entered is not appropriate, the Equestrian Manager will inform the lessee and advise accordingly.

7. The Lessee will have to pass a stable management exam to show that they are capable of caring for a horse correctly.

There are 3 different types of leases:

1. Full Lease morning and afternoon ( Tuesday to Sunday) at $1800 per month

2. 6 days half lease morning or afternoon ( Tuesday to Sunday) at $1300 per month

3. Weekday half lease morning or afternoon (Tuesday to Friday) at $900 per month
