Membership Information

The Bukit Timah Saddle Club was established in 1951 as a members’ riding club offering a full range of equestrian facilities and services. Today, its primary focus is on show jumping and dressage, and the club has gained a reputation as a centre for excellence for equestrian sport. Conveniently located off Bukit Timah Road, set amidst a lush tropical haven, it is also a perfect environment for casual leisure riding.

We are a member of the Equestrian Federation of Singapore (EFS), which is a member of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Facilities

Amidst lush greenery and countryside surroundings, BTSC has facilities for school riding, leisure riding, dressage and jumping.

Our facilities include:

  • 100 stables, arranged in blocks of 10.
  • Between 20-30 school horses, ranging from 16.2hh warmbloods to 12hh ponies for our younger riders
  • 3 large riding arenas, extending to more than 13,000 sq. metres
  • 2 lunge arenas & a 400 metre sand training track
  • Trail rides at heath track, jungle and sand ring
  • 15 grass paddocks
  • Full time farrier with facilities for both hot and cold shoeing
  • Men’s and Women’s locker rooms with showers
  • Food & Beverage
 at the popular restaurant, Rider’s Café, located in our club house, with members only terrace. Open Tuesday – Sunday for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Car Parking
offering ample parking, adjacent to the club house.

Riding School

horse jumping over blue barsBukit Timah Saddle Club’s riding school has over 30 well trained horses and ponies. Our instructors are fully qualified, offering the highest standards of tuition.  Our horses and ponies vary in standard to suit both the beginner, intermediate and more experienced rider. As riders’ skills advance over time, they can be teamed up with horses schooled to compete at 120cm in show jumping and up to elementary in dressage. 

BTSC offers lessons at all levels six days a week (closed on Mondays) in both dressage and show-jumping. Riders can choose private lessons, semi-private lessons (2 persons) or group lessons (groups of 3 or more people).

Lesson times are:
Daily – Tuesday to Sunday – 7.00 am – 10.00am and 3.30 pm – 7.00 pm.

BTSC also offers numerous courses and regular camps throughout the year, to enhance riding and horse care at all levels. Many of these courses are open to non-members. For the more experienced rider, it is possible to lease a school horse, which allows you to ride unaccompanied and gain the experience of looking after your own horse.

Guest instructors from around the world, renowned in their disciplines, are regularly invited to the club to conduct riding clinics.  Additionally we have regular inter-club competitions for you to compete in.

Horse Livery

Bukit Timah Saddle Club operates the largest livery centre in Singapore. We offer full livery facilities (inclusive of full feed and care) for horse and pony owners at affordable fees.
