British Horse Society (BHS) exams are professional qualifications that are recognised worldwide.

The BHS offers the most widely acknowledged and respected equestrian qualifications in the world, offering a progressive route from beginner level to world-class standard.

Bukit Timah Saddle Club has BHS qualified instructors who can assist riders who are interested in taking their BHS exams. The exams start with BHS Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3.

 

After achieving BHS 1, 2 and 3 those wishing to progress to a teaching qualification can take PTT

 

(Preliminary Teaching Test) to receive the BHSAI (Assistant Instructor) qualification.

For more advanced riders they can progress to Stage 4 Riding and Stable Management  exam and further to the Intermediate Instructor exam. (BHSII)
